I really enjoyed my driving lessons with Saqib. He was professional, friendly, and patient whenever I needed something explained again. We focused on the areas where I needed the most practice and gradually increased the difficulty. I feel that the lessons improved both my driving skills and my awareness of other vehicles on the road.

I had some basic experience but needed help becoming more consistent and confident. We practiced road positioning, signaling, turns, parking, and dealing with traffic. Sam gave me useful feedback after each lesson, which helped me understand exactly what I needed to work on for road test.

I would recommend North Simcoe Driving School to new drivers in Angus. Mahmood was patient and explained everything clearly. Instead of getting frustrated when I made mistakes, he showed me how to correct them and then gave me another chance to practice.

My driving lessons with Saqib were very helpful. I was particularly nervous about busy intersections and changing lanes, so we spent extra time practicing those situations. He gave clear instructions and helped me understand what to look for before making a decision. After some lessons I pass my G2 road test. Thank You sir.

Sam helped me become much more comfortable behind the wheel. I liked that he didn’t rush through the lessons and allowed me to practice things until I felt confident. We worked on parking, turns, lane changes. The lessons were relaxed but still focused, which worked really well for me.

Saqib was a very patient instructor and helped me overcome a lot of my nervousness. I needed extra practice with intersections and parking, so we spent more time on those areas. He explained what I needed to watch for and gave me enough practice to become comfortable for road exam.

🛣️ Roads we practise on

Learning in Angus means mastering both town and country driving. We practise on Mill Street and the town’s residential streets, then move to County Road 90 and County Road 10, where higher speeds, trucks and longer following distances matter. As your skills grow, we drive County Road 90 into Barrie for busier city traffic, and G-licence students practise on Highway 400.

🚗 Road test at Barrie DriveTest Centre

520 Bryne Drive, Unit 7, Barrie

Angus students usually take their G2 and G road tests at the Barrie DriveTest Centre. Because Barrie traffic is busier than Angus, we make sure you have practised in Barrie — including the roads around the test centre — well before test day. You can use the instructor’s car for your road test.

📝 How the BDE course works

  1. Register and pay your deposit — we send you the Online Driver’s Education course within 30 minutes.
  2. Finish the online course at your own pace before your in-car lessons begin.
  3. Take your one-on-one in-car lessons with free pick-up and drop-off in Angus.
  4. We process your MTO certificate — you can be G2-eligible after 8 months instead of 12.

❓ Where do Angus students take their road test?

Angus students usually take their road test at the Barrie DriveTest Centre at 520 Bryne Drive, Unit 7. Tests are booked through DriveTest (drivetest.ca), and we can help with booking on request.

❓ Do you pick up in Thornton, Utopia and other parts of Essa?

Yes. Pick-up and drop-off are free in Angus and nearby Essa Township communities, including Thornton, Utopia, Baxter, Colwell and Ivy.

❓ Why is the Angus price different from Barrie?

Angus pricing includes the extra travel time to reach you, so pick-up and drop-off stay free. All prices include HST and the MTO certificate fee.

❓ How old do I need to be to start driving lessons?

In Ontario you can get your G1 licence at 16. Once you have your G1, you can register for the BDE course and start your Online Driver’s Education course right away.

❓ How much sooner can I get my G2 with the BDE course?

With an MTO-approved BDE certificate, you can take your G2 road test after 8 months with your G1 instead of 12 months, and you may qualify for an insurance discount.
