🛣️ Roads we practise on

We start on Midhurst’s quiet residential streets, then practise on County Road 27, where you’ll learn to handle higher speeds, passing traffic and rural intersections. A few minutes south, Bayfield Street in Barrie’s north end gives you real experience with heavy traffic, plazas and multi-lane turns, and G-licence students practise on Highway 400. In winter, roads toward Snow Valley are great for learning safe snow driving with an instructor beside you.

🚗 Road test at Barrie DriveTest Centre

Midhurst students take their G2 and G road tests at the Barrie DriveTest Centre. Before test day we practise in the roads around the test centre, and you can use the instructor’s car for your road test.

📝 How the BDE course works
  1. Register and pay your deposit — we send you the Online Driver’s Education course within 30 minutes.
  2. Finish the online course at your own pace before your in-car lessons begin.
  3. Take your one-on-one in-car lessons with free pick-up and drop-off in Midhurst.
  4. We process your MTO certificate — you can be G2-eligible after 8 months instead of 12.

❓ Is Midhurst part of Barrie?

No. Midhurst is a community in the Township of Springwater, just north of Barrie. We serve both, and pick-up and drop-off are free anywhere in Midhurst.

❓ Where do Midhurst students take their road test?

At the Barrie DriveTest Centre, 520 Bryne Drive, Unit 7. Tests are booked through DriveTest (drivetest.ca), and we can help with booking on request.

❓ Why is the Midhurst price different from Barrie?

Midhurst pricing includes the extra travel time to reach you, so pick-up and drop-off stay free. All prices include HST and the MTO certificate fee.

❓ Do you teach winter driving?

Yes. Simcoe County winters are a big part of driving here, and we offer a Winter Driving Improvement Program as well as winter practice during regular lessons.

❓ How much sooner can I get my G2 with the BDE course?

With an MTO-approved BDE certificate, you can take your G2 road test after 8 months with your G1 instead of 12 months, and you may qualify for an insurance discount.
